We are a brand new hiking group.  The sole focus of this group is to have fun while enjoying the outdoors. Our secondary goal is to educate novice hikers in all aspects of hiking, including areas such as equipment, safety, and navigation. We also welcome veteran hikers who are looking to hop back into the fold and want to recondition themselves. All ages are welcome to join us. We do require that minors be present with a parent or guardian.

This is a group for dog owners and their small/toy dogs who like to hike. It's also for bigger dogs who live with small dogs. I have a 6lb Maltese and a 60lb Shepherd mix rescue dog who are best pals. If you have a small dog under 30lbs, join us. We don't want the little dogs trampled on but we don't mind larger dogs who are used to being with the little dogs. We're not Bear Grylls, we hike mostly on graveled or well defined trails and the hikes average between two to five miles each. Most times …
